The Kruger National Park is a favourite attraction - we are located about 2km from the Malalane Gate entrance.  Also, a convenient stop-over en-route to Mozambique and Swaziland.  There are mountain bike trails in the area for keen cyclists.  For the golfers, there is Leopard Creek Country Club (please check your accessibility to this club), Malalane Country Club and Kambaku Golf Club in Komatipoort (a nice scenic spot for lunch too, overlooking the river).  The Malalane Country Club also offers tennis and a gym with a pool, approximately 1km away.  Malalane town is about 5km away, comprising of supermarkets, take-aways, petrol stations, clothing stores, doctors rooms and hair & beauty salons.

Cicada Suite

The Cicada Beetle meaning ‘Tree Cricket’, symbolically/ spiritually represents personal change, renewal, rebirth and transformation.  Also symbolistic of longevity, development, recognition and emergence of the self throughout the various phases of the life cycle.  Inherently symbolising a person’s individual journey; what they were (nymph) and all the glory of what they are becoming/have become (adult form).  The Cicada Beetle symbol themes itself of communication and self-discovery.  They are lovers of hot climates, the summer season and sunshine offering light, expression and nourishment, which are what we as people need to take care of ourselves.  Without light nothing can live and without expression we cannot nourish our souls.  The Cicada Beetle reminds us to allow our own light to grow inside of us before we can connect with those around us in the way the community of Cicadas join their individual songs in harmony.  Their example to us, teamwork brings higher success than working alone.

Mozambique Suite

The Mozambique suite is inspired by my love for and memories of my holidays in Mozambique.  It quantifies the pleasures and enjoyment of a minimalistic lifestyle where joy and freedom reside.

The guest suite was originally The Hummingbird, symbolically/ spiritually representing the lightness of being, as well as the enjoyment of life.  Hummingbird calls to us, to enjoy life more and to release negativity wherever present.  The actual meaning is of love and happiness.  Symbolically representing the miracle of life and all the wonderful things that make up life.  The ability to endure long, arduous journeys with the joy of playfulness.  Hummingbird encourages you to enjoy life and keep yourself light and free.  Enjoy life because it is fleeting.  Release all the negativity to let the love and light in.  Open your life to the good energies so that you can receive more love and joy.  Allow an air of magic in your life.

During your Stay

I am available during the day either at the main house or on my cellphone, unless I am teaching yoga or facilitating a retreat. The Housekeeper will then be available if the matter is urgent.

The Space

A Labyrinth is not a maze, it has only one path in – the way in is the way out. The Labyrinth is a metaphor for life’s journey - the journey to the center of your deepest self and back out into the world with a broadened understanding of who you are. Labyrinths offer the opportunity to walk in meditation to that place within us where the rational merges with the intuitive.
